Synopsis

This chapter introduces Reinelle, a crow capable of using magic due to a spiritual contract, who was previously believed to be a 'bird of death'. Princess Sapphire, Karmelit's younger sister, initially despises Reinelle due to the death of her family, leading her to see Reinelle as a harbinger of ill omen. However, after Reinelle saves Sapphire and Karmelit explains she saved his life as well, Sapphire slowly begins to accept her, acknowledging her kindness and eventually asking her not to take away her brother.
