Synopsis

The chapter opens with the protagonist, severely injured and weakened, lamenting his situation and the betrayal by Geum Jeoksan. He is then confronted by a new, powerful enemy named Gong Sacheok who is part of a group seeking to collect a bounty on the protagonist. The protagonist engages Gong Sacheok in combat, while attempting to figure out the connections between the various factions involved and desperately tries to strategize an escape from the overwhelming odds against him. He also realizes that the Jae Gal family might have indirectly saved him by being connected with him.
