Synopsis

The chapter introduces Bellard, a seemingly young boy with the power to control animals using a deadly 'dead mana,' which is poisonous to elves. He and his protector are being targeted by an opposing force, who are hampered by the manipulated animals. Meanwhile, their leader uses this opportunity to antagonize them. Finally, it's revealed that the group was involved in recent events involving merpeople and has a mysterious ally who helped the whales.
