Synopsis

The chapter begins with the group being followed by the elf from the inn. He reveals that a group with a specific star symbol is attacking his village, aiming to steal branches from the World Tree, threatening the elves' safety. The elf explains the need to borrow ancient power to fight the group and the poisonous 'dead mana' they use, which is lethal to elves. He then asks for help, promising recompense from the healer Pendrick, setting up a new arc.
