Synopsis

The chapter reveals the lizardmen's plan to exploit the frogmen's trust, gained through a seemingly genuine tour of their village, which allowed them to assess the frogmen's strength. Owen, having secured a promise of his son's safety from the lizardmen in exchange for luring the frogmen, expresses a manipulative faith and reveals a writing system to one of the frogmen.
