Synopsis

The chapter begins with the group being forced to retreat under fire, with a magician named El Paume proving incredibly fast. During the escape, one of the group members, Dib, tries to stall for time. A polearm-wielding enemy is noted, and later a surprise attack makes them realize their pursuers are ahead. The group suspects El Paume deliberately led them into a trap, and they plan to go through the first gate before dealing with the pursuers, but they are ambushed again.
