Synopsis

Vinchen Adenca arrives at the Dragon Forest, having received an invitation from the dragonkin. He is questioned about his identity and asked to reveal his Crimson Lotus sword. The dragonkin ease their wariness upon seeing the weapon and the chapter transitions to children attacking Vinchen's group, resulting in Vinchen being injured, and the children being scolded. It concludes with Vinchen recognizing one of the Dragonkin, Jaeng-yi, as being the subject of a painting called 'Portrait of Mother' from 200 years ago, revealing that Jaeng-yi is likely very old.
