Synopsis

The chapter opens with the protagonist being told he is in a world created by his desires and the power of a being who reveals himself as the King of the Dead. This being offers the protagonist immense power within this world, which he describes as his 'territory.' Simultaneously, back in the real world, powerful magical beasts are wreaking havoc, with even national-level hunters failing to stop them and a desperate plan to bombard the beasts being devised, while the protagonist's presence has disappeared. The King of the Dead then describes his past and the immense power he was granted, tying it to the protagonist's own ability to wield power.
