Synopsis

Ciel is urgently being transported to the capitol, despite her protests that there's no need to rush. She's confused by her guardian's behavior, believing he might be taking her to be punished, or even to kill her father. The chapter ends with him declaring that he's her father now, leading her to realize this isn't temporary and that she's being adopted. This sudden revelation elicits a strange feeling of warmth in her, even though it's based on a contract.
