Synopsis

The chapter opens with the protagonist reflecting on her relief at passing a difficult test, followed by a somewhat awkward encounter with the Grand Duke who was secretly observing her. Their conversation reveals that the Grand Duke, despite his serious demeanor, is concerned for her wellbeing and perhaps even a bit playful. The chapter ends with a surprising act of generosity as the Grand Duke offers the protagonist some cookies.
