Synopsis

Sir Kayn dramatically appears to rescue the women, revealing a mysterious past linked to a 'Death Knight' legend and a demon contract via Lord Joshua Sanders. Meanwhile, Icarus, using atmospheric mana sensing, detects a large explosion and questions the suspicious ease of their escape, realizing Baron Arna has betrayed them. The chapter ends with the revelation that they are surrounded and offered a deal to surrender Lady Pontier in exchange for their safety.
