Synopsis

The chapter focuses on the protagonist's internal monologue regarding the Duke, a former teammate shrouded in mystery, and his true goals related to the Tomb of the Abominable Princess. The Duke unexpectedly joins the group, offering his resources and knowledge. The protagonist is skeptical about his motives, while simultaneously planning to use or stop him based on his goal. Additionally, the group is preparing for several operations; some are sent to the capital for an auction, others set off for a dangerous mountain mission, and also split up, dealing with personal relationships and past traumas.
