Synopsis

Logan, from the fallen McLain family, tries to scam the wealthy merchant Philip, believing him to be easily manipulated. Instead, Logan gets tricked into signing a harsh contract that makes him Philip's subordinate. He then reveals his plan to profit off monster meat in the future, using his knowledge from the future. The chapter ends with Philip realizing the absurdity of investing in him but deciding to support him anyway, questioning Logan's actual intentions.
