Synopsis

The chapter sees the end of the demonic invasion with a miraculously happy outcome – no deaths occurred and a curse is lifted. The story then transitions to Duke Howard's trial where he's accused of plotting against the emperor and conspiring with Bupeilos, despite his claims of being politically persecuted. Simultaneously, one of the main characters reveals they had suppressed romantic feelings for another, initially mistaking them for friendship due to the curse.
