Synopsis

Reinelle is nervous about meeting the Emperor and fears his disapproval, but he surprises her by readily accepting her relationship with Karmelt and even leaving their future in Karmelt's hands. The Emperor declares Karmelt a capable individual who should protect his mate, Reinelle, himself. Though happy and relieved by this unexpected blessing, Reinelle's inner monologue reveals deep-seated anxieties about her place in the story and what will happen when the game's original female lead appears to compete for Karmelt's affection.
