Synopsis

The chapter opens with the protagonist narrowly avoiding being eaten by corpse-eating birds and fleeing from Orcs. A crow suddenly distracts the Orcs, leading them away. The protagonist realizes the severity of their bleeding and searches for medicinal herbs, recognizing the helpful crow's unlikely actions may not be random. They contemplate the possible nature of the crow as a polymorph or dragon, concluding they need to rely on their own abilities to survive.
