Synopsis

The chapter starts with the formal declaration of war between the human empire and the demonic realm. Deon Hart, the 'hero' of both sides, struggles with the constant travel and stress of his roles. The demonic king attempts to negotiate a peace, but the Emperor is unwilling. During this exchange, the demon king effectively undermines the Emperor’s authority by portraying him as cruel and the war as a selfish power grab, swaying public opinion towards the demonic side. The Emperor continues to pressure Deon, trying to force him to choose a side.
