Synopsis

The chapter begins with a former king's loyal troops swearing allegiance to a dethroned prince. The prince, despite being outnumbered, refuses to surrender and rallies his forces. Meanwhile, the rebels, aware of the prince's powerful but inexperienced troops, plan to either eliminate him indirectly to avoid the Queen Dowager's wrath or try to break his force on the battlefield. The chapter ends with the prince launching a surprise attack using a "flying thunderbolt" which causes chaos and retreat among the rebel forces.
