Synopsis

This chapter details the beginning of trials at a guardian academy, where students face tests involving both monsters and evil spirits. Jaeger, knowing the past results, manipulates his initial test to gain a clearer picture of his abilities and how the system operates. He purposely underperforms to set the stage for future challenges, also showing his knowledge of fellow student Lark's past, showing his commitment to not repeat past mistakes. The chapter introduces a system error where the test summons the same weaker monsters instead of progressing to higher ranks, something only Jaeger notices, indicating his unique perspective.
