Synopsis

A district representative, impressed by the protagonist's magical abilities, attempts to recruit him, believing he is a valuable asset to the city. The protagonist, however, refuses the offer, despite recognizing the political benefits, as he doesn't want to be controlled. Afterwards, the protagonist's contact discusses the district representative's odd behavior and the importance of maintaining a facade of financial normalcy to avoid scrutiny.
