Synopsis

The protagonist, after completing a job that involved defending a location from a gang, is preparing to deliver a sample to the patent office, reflecting on his experiences and considering his mage abilities. He encounters an older man who seems interested in him, leading him to try and leave without making too much of an impression. He also analyzes a previous battle, figuring out how someone with flame abilities won, while also contemplating the usefulness of his own mage abilities and how to conceal them. He finishes his job, including taking medicine samples, and then heads to the patent office to finish his task.
