Synopsis

The chapter begins with the protagonist internally acknowledging Eclis's true nature as a dangerous individual disguised as an obedient dog. She reflects on her misjudgment of the "Eclis route" and her need for a failsafe. She then manipulates Eclis after he almost hurts her, and plans a meeting with Vinter. Finally, the protagonist finds Eclis training in the pouring rain, realizing he's doing it to become a better bodyguard and protect her, and decides to reward him instead of punish him for his past actions.
