Synopsis

Urich is conflicted about his vow to kill Gottval, feeling torn between his tribal beliefs and the potential path offered by Lou. Gottval recovers from a near-death experience, interpreting it as a sign he has more to do in the world. He teaches Urich to write, while Urich undergoes baptism, wrestling with his past vow and seeking guidance so his soul doesn't wander after death. He's recognized as a great warrior, and advised to remember.
