Synopsis

The chapter opens with an investigation into the death of Belbort Rickson, supposedly killed by a monster. The investigators find a hidden safe, which they deduce was emptied recently. This leads to the suspicion of foul play, beyond a simple monster attack. The arrival of the National Security Bureau, led by Grandmaster Terena Lionhowl, takes over the investigation, hinting at a cover-up. Loid and Enya, who are undercover, continue their investigation despite the security presence.
