Synopsis

The chapter begins with a flashback to the protagonist's father revealing his plan to give his son money and teach him dangerous skills, not adventurer ones. Later, the protagonist and his uncle discuss past events, including a request from his dying father to protect him from a similar fate, explaining the uncle's role in the protagonist's life and how he reluctantly agreed to hire him as a poacher. The uncle also reveals his deep resentment for those who wronged the protagonist's father.
