Synopsis

The chapter begins with the protagonist's internal monologue about his solitary life as an unorthodox martial artist, his reasons for avoiding close relationships, and his shock at forming bonds with others. He then meets a former subordinate who explains the chaotic events and a girl who escaped confinement by poisoning her captors. The chapter concludes with the protagonist learning the horse and other characters' whereabouts and a girl declaring her intent to follow him.
