Synopsis

The chapter begins with Tasha leading the group away from the city walls, describing the desert's unique night-time appearance. They learn about the 'Land of the Dead' where Dark Elves reside, a place with red sand during the day and black sand at night. The group also finds out they need to provide blessings from the Death God, and discuss the existence of a powerful church opposing the Sun God Church. The chapter concludes with the group successfully escaping from the city through the West Gate, learning that the gate's true purpose is to capture those attempting to leave the tax-burdened town.
