Synopsis

The chapter focuses on the departure of the protagonist's ancestor, who leaves behind a large amount of spiritual power. The protagonist's martial brother reveals his plan to use this power to restore a fox yokai to its former powerful state. The protagonist, recalling his grandfather's advice, decides to fight his martial brother in the mental realm where his restrictions don't apply, believing his actions to be a betrayal.
