Synopsis

A character, who was previously caught as a con man and given money out of pity, promises to save the life of his benefactor as payment. He proceeds to question the authenticity of a messenger, exposing her as likely an imposter through several deductions about her inconsistencies. His analysis delays the planned reinforcements for the Emei sect, though seemingly saving them from a trap. He uses seemingly innocuous details, such as thirst and statements about the scope of the enemy to reveal her deception.
