Synopsis

The chapter kicks off with the start of a harsh training program at the Zieghardt Fifth Training Hall, overseen by a strict instructor who intends to drastically cut down the number of trainees. The training begins with a grueling run, where it is immediately revealed that Laon, a seemingly weak child, is struggling to keep up. Despite the negative opinions, the instructor is unable to see into Laon's future, suggesting a hidden power, while other trainees engage in arrogant displays and squabbles. The training tests the participants physically, pushing their mental limits as well.
