Synopsis

The chapter opens with the protagonist coming to the unsettling realization that he's become a character within his own creation. A battle then breaks out against a powerful, rapidly moving monster. The protagonist needs to use a limited number of powerful fire-attribute attacks and enlists a companion to distract the monster to allow him to get close enough to attack, and during the battle, others observe that the protagonist seems to know more about the world than is logical. The chapter ends with the reveal that this knowledge comes from the protagonist being the author of the novel.
