Synopsis

The chapter follows the protagonist's group as they navigate based on the protagonist's visions, despite growing doubts about their validity. They arrive at a sanctuary led by a "nameless beetle god," who appears to grant the protagonist a blessing of healing and beetle-like features. However, the god's request for a dangerous buffalo hunt to prove their faith creates conflict within the group, as they fear losing their members in such a risky endeavor. The protagonist insists on going alone, despite the clear danger.
