Synopsis

The chapter opens with a chaotic battle scene, where the protagonist contemplates giving up but decides to fight, fearing the loss of something important. She is then addressed by a historical figure who thanks her for her support and explains their situation. Moved by the figure's heartfelt sentiments and their recognition of her as a living being, she finds new determination, refusing to flee despite facing overwhelming odds, and berates the running mercenaries for their cowardice and mistreatment of their own collectors.
