Synopsis

A character participates in a high-stakes card game and amasses a large sum of money. The establishment, unhappy with the losses, accuses the winner of cheating and attempts to confiscate his winnings, threatening him. A mysterious man named Kalloy intervenes, berates the thugs, and forces the gambler to come with him, showing he may be some kind of protector or benefactor. The chapter also sets the context for the game and the precarious situation the gambler was already in beforehand, as he risked his organs to even play.
