Synopsis

After one of their group flees due to injury, two characters are left to defend a boulder from waves of monsters as part of a tutorial. They discuss the absurdity of their situation while engaging in combat, during which they gain random stat increases and new skills based on their actions, suggesting a game-like system. The difficulty of the challenges increases over the course of days, with the two facing increasingly stronger foes, while one ponders their family and survival.
