Synopsis

The chapter focuses on the immediate aftermath of a poisoning, where the victim, Elpam, has roughly 40 minutes to live. The characters split up to locate him, with one expressing regret for involving others. A plan is hatched to activate a ceiling device to aid in finding him but, despite succeeding in setting it up, the mana flow is inexplicably blocked, leading to the plan failing. The characters express frustration, and it appears there might be some dissention within the group.
