Synopsis

The chapter depicts a brutal battle where serfs, compelled to fight with artificially enhanced abilities, are used as cannon fodder. The victorious leaders, including Beatrice, discuss acquiring demons for experimentation and strategic advantage, disregarding the immense human cost of the battle. The chapter ends with the shocking revelation that over 900 serfs died, exposing the leaders' callous disregard for their lives and the grim reality of their exploitation. This is underscored by the orcs' blaming the loss of a 'lord' on the use of a lesser vessel.
