Synopsis

The chapter opens with citizens discussing the war with Hektor and the possibility of conscription. The scene shifts to the Kairo Royal Academy where Loren Dmitri is mocked for his poor swordsmanship, contrasting sharply with rumors of his brother, Roman, single-handedly saving the southern front. The King, impressed by Roman's supposed feats, offers him a vice-captain position which is opposed by Marquis Benedict. Roman declines the offer, stating he is not ready and needs to grow before entering the larger world and will participate in the upcoming 'Pen Ranking Competition'.
