Synopsis

This chapter focuses on multiple plot threads: Lord Lloyd's group prepares to awaken an ancient beast using a 'shovel' operation and modified terrain, showcasing some strategic planning; they also decide to raise orphaned mastodon calves, despite the potential dangers; and finally, they agree to provide aid to the Sand and Steel tribe. Adding to the intrigue, Lord Lloyd finds he can understand the beaver-like enemy, further suggesting the enemy's predictable behavior based on its instincts.
