Synopsis

The chapter begins with Kyle reflecting on his work and the rising threat from Samarkhan. He then experiences sudden poisoning, which he identifies as being resistant to his body's natural defenses. His guard, Javier, notices his condition, and a fight is triggered with an unknown assailant later revealed to be a Sword Master. Lloyd arrives to help and tells Javier to focus on defeating the Sword Master to protect the poisoned Kyle.
