Synopsis

A developer explains how they built an aqueduct to bring water to their land, accidentally polluting a Viscount's dye workshop in the process due to lime exposure. The developer skillfully manipulates the situation, goading the Viscount into threatening legal action, knowing it will take a long time. He then forces the Viscount to sign a water supply contract with a very high price and no end date, essentially financially crippling him. The chapter ends with the developer receiving news that Count Cremo will purchase a valuable artifact from him.
