Synopsis

The chapter begins with demons and orcs unfazed by the cold, and the humans, despite their seemingly weaker mana, are difficult to drive away. The group is then confronted by a powerful 'Spirit King' demon, who commands blizzards and earthquakes and claims to be the mountains. Despite boasting about his invulnerability to physical and mana-based attacks, he is defeated by a feeling of awfulness induced by the protagonist. The chapter ends with the Spirit King defeated but a warning that humanity faces an even greater threat in the future.
