Synopsis

The protagonist, after rescuing his men from a sorcerer, listens to the sorcerer's tragic backstory about losing his family and using the men to attempt resurrection. Despite the sob story, the protagonist refuses to show mercy, labeling the sorcerer a 'serial murderer' and taking his tools. The chapter then shifts to the protagonist's reflection on the futility of trying to be kind to those who disrespect him, culminating in a flashback showing how kindness led to being taken advantage of, thus reinforcing his stance on punishing villains.
