Synopsis

The chapter opens with a military investigation into a powerful young man, with evidence of his battle and strange root growth. Meanwhile, the protagonist, seemingly killed by missiles, awakens with an S-Class "Devouring Strength" ability, and is part of the first batch of awakened humans. He suspects his friend Xinyue’s ice powers are tied to the strange ice, so he sets out to find her and confront Commander Guan Zhonghua, believing he's responsible for her disappearance, and is now plotting his entry into a military shelter.
