After losing his weapon, the protagonist discovers a new side quest: collecting sincere gratitude to unlock new weapons and items. Frustrated with the lack of progress, he decides to take a job as a relief teacher and manipulate students into saying "Thank you" at the start of class, though this yields no sincere gratitude. He then exchanges one piece of gratitude for a potent healing item.
