Synopsis

The chapter opens with internal monologue about past choices, revealing the protagonist's struggles. The group is confronted by the Zipples who possess overwhelming firepower in the form of a war cannon. The Zipples demand the priestess be handed over, but the protagonist, refusing to yield, decides to hold off the attack while urging the rest of his party, including the priestess, to flee and complete their mission. The protagonist is willing to sacrifice himself to protect them.
