Synopsis

The chapter opens with Jin discovering the gruesome nature of the Cosmos Competition, a no-rules fighting tournament where participants can be killed. He is then entered into the competition by his elders to face Dante Hairan, a swordsman from a rival family, to test his abilities. It's also revealed that a powerful being known as Tess, the bird accompanying Jin, is actually a phoenix from a higher realm whose true power is beyond the gods. This sets the stage for Jin needing to grow by improving his sword techniques without relying on magic and shadows.
