Synopsis

A team of elite superhumans, the War Hawks, plans a dangerous mission to infiltrate a ruined city to gather information about calamity beasts and increase chances of victory in a larger battle. Simultaneously, a professor is studying samples of creatures' remains and deduces that a local predator is evolving at a rapid rate, posing a significant threat to a nearby town. This analysis is showing a pattern of increasingly large prey being devoured by the beast, suggesting it will eventually move on to humans.
