Synopsis

An investigation is launched, focusing on the possibility of a Calamity Beast attack, and various theories are discussed by the police, hunters, and even civilians, including bat mutants. The investigators revisit the scene where the body was found, noticing an oddly preserved fish skeleton and footage of a fish leaping out of the water earlier. The chapter ends with the investigators examining plants near the scene, hinting at a possible connection between the unusual death and unusual flora.
