Synopsis

The chapter begins with the characters discussing suspicions about one of their own, who then reveals themselves to be a monster. This monster, motivated by hunger and a desire for power, attacks the group. He reveals that he gained strength by consuming others, and explains how parasitic demons have altered their essence to be consumable by humans without recoil. The chapter ends with the suggestion that the other characters also consume the 'liquid stardust' to increase their power.
